The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Center for Earth System Sciences and Remote Sensing Technologies II (CESSRST) has openings for a number of postdoctoral positions and invites applications from qualified candidates. Positions will be at CCNY (CESSRST Lead Institution at City College of New York, NYC), although some may be available at partner CESSRST institutions. 

Basic Qualifications (required at the time of application): A PhD degree in the physical sciences, engineering, or social sciences with expertise relevant to the NOAA mission-aligned responsibilities outlined above.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Conducting research aligned with a specific focus area; collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, including faculty members, researchers, and students across multiple CESSRST campuses and NOAA partners. This may include spending time at a NOAA facility or laboratory; Co-designing and implementing research projects to include social impact on communities and/or relevancy to climate mitigation and adaptation; disseminating research findings through publications, presentations, reports, and other knowledge-sharing platforms; mentoring graduate and/or undergraduate students in related research activities, and work collaboratively with faculty members in development and submission of grants.
